Self-taught in the practice of kora, as his father did not want his first-born son to become a musician, he integrated the Instrumental Ensemble of Mali at the age of 13. In 1999, he played with another Malian musician, Toumani Diabaté, also a kora player. In 2000, he created his group named “Mandé Tabolo” made up of Mama Draba (song), Fassery Diabaté (balafon), Adama Tounkara (n’goni) and Aboubacar Dembelé (bolon). He met Vincent Segal during the jazz festival of Amiens. In 2009, they recorded together their Chamber Music CD, then Musique de Nuit in 2015.

2008: World Music Charts Europe 2008
2009: Jazz award for the best international album for Chamber Music with Vincent Ségal.
2016: Nominated for the “Victoires de la Musique” in the world music album of the year category with Musique de Nuit.
